Constructed from well patinated mahogany; supported upon out-curved front and rear legs of square section, frames relief carved with stylized anthemion, moulded arms with reeded channelling, continuing onto swept backs; recently upholstered in Irish natural linen.

Set of 15. Upholstered Oval backs with stuff over seats on serpentine seat rails, raised on mahogany square section legs joined by an H stretcher. (replacements and restorations, some chairs re-railed, four chairs with beech frames stained to simulate mahogany.

The scrolled top rail above a split-caned back and sides, with a cut-velvet covered squab cushion on fluted tapering legs terminating in caps and castors, formerly with simulated rosewood decoration, now worn, beautifully re-caned, minor restoration.
