Constructed from well patinated mahogany; supported upon out-curved front and rear legs of square section, frames relief carved with stylized anthemion, moulded arms with reeded channelling, continuing onto swept backs; recently upholstered in Irish natural linen.
Set of 15. Upholstered Oval backs with stuff over seats on serpentine seat rails, raised on mahogany square section legs joined by an H stretcher. (replacements and restorations, some chairs re-railed, four chairs with beech frames stained to simulate mahogany.

Upholstered in faded red leather with molded oak back enclosed by out-swept arms carved with sprigs of pine and cones, raised on turned fluted legs terminating in gilt-brass caps and ceramic castors. Circa 1860

The scrolled top rail above a split-caned back and sides, with a cut-velvet covered squab cushion on fluted tapering legs terminating in caps and castors, formerly with simulated rosewood decoration, now worn, beautifully re-caned, minor restoration.

A George IV rosewood bergere library chair with flared cresting rail above acanthus leaf carved scrolling arm terminals, the cushion seat raised on turned tapering legs with castors. Excellent original condition, original castors.
