Blue and green glazed ceramic table lamp by Marcello Fantoni (1915–2011), Florence

A bottle-form ceramic table lamp by Marcello Fantoni (1915–2011), the slender body glazed in mottled blue and green.  Signed. Acquired directly from the Fantoni family, Florence. Mid-20th century. Ceramic body 35 cm high. A vase of this same bottle form — its green glaze deepening to a dark blue-purple at the foot — is illustrated in the artist's 2015 monograph (Sara Garvani, ed., Marcello Fantoni, exhibition catalogue, Palazzo Medici Riccardi, Florence; page 60, plate XXVII, dated c.1957). The present example is currently unwired as a table lamp but can be supplied wired on request.
