A flattened rectangular bottle vase by Marcello Fantoni (1915–2011), its broad faces washed in a flowing blue-green glaze that breaks and pools across the body. One of a companion pair, and unusually well documented: signed and dated 1960 to the base. A confident mid-century form in excellent studio glaze. Florence, dated 1960. 29.5 × 20 × 9 cm.
