French sculptor, born 26 November 1956 in Paris, where he lives and works. From the early 1990s Scali's practice has drawn on the influence of Giuseppe Penone and Markus Raetz, blending natural elements — branches, leaves, vegetal matter — with cast bronze, drawing, and installation. Solo exhibitions at Galerie Michel Vidal, Galerie Sit Down (Paris), Démonia, and Les Éditions Orchampt; group exhibitions including Fragments at Friche de l'Escalette, Marseille, alongside the architectures of Jean Prouvé.
