Jacques Adnet was a French art deco modernist designer, architect and interior designer. He is particularly known for his furniture designs in leather.
Born: April 20, 1901, Châtillon-Coligny, France
Died: October 24, 1984

in 1928 Jacques Adnet took over the management of the Compagnie des arts français founded in 1919 by Louis Süe and André Mare. Jacques Adnet headed the Compagnie des arts français, whose motto was “Evolution in the tradition” until it closed in 1959.

In the 1950s, Jacques Adnet, always wishing to innovate, developed, in collaboration with Robert Pinchon’s workshop, furniture and lighting with a metal structure often covered with leather or skai (from 1955) saddle stitched. All types of furniture were produced including desks, consoles as well as chairs, tables, lamps and floor lamps.

Maison Jansen was an interior design house located in Paris, France.
It was founded in 1880 by the Dutchman Jean-Henri Jansen. Maison Jansen
is considered the first global design firm to have made its name a brand, offering its services in Europe, Latin America, North America and the Middle East.
