Wonderful large 19th century Italian processional carved wooden angel. Early 19th century carved gilt wood winged figure, mounted on a heavy wooden base with period brass oxidised carry handles. Gilding in nice original condition, some flaking to the simulated base, a removable copper sleeve to the top of the pole. A very beautiful piece, quite serene.
