Mid-Century Italian Articulated Table Lamp Attributed to Stilnovo20th-century lighting

3details offers large range of 20th-century lighting, table, floor and wall lamps from the art deco period all the way through to the 1980s.
20th-century lighting design has gone through a period of great innovation, where form and function converged to create stunning works of art that illuminated spaces with style. During the Art Deco period, lighting companies like Bernard-Albin Gras made significant strides, with their sleek, industrial designs that emphasized both practicality and elegance the innovative architects of the day including Le Corbusier used the Gras lamps in their working environment and in their numerous design projects.
Moving into the mid-century, French companies like Maison Charles and Maison Ramsay continued the tradition of high-quality craftsmanship, offering lighting fixtures that blended modernism with luxurious materials. Jean Perzel, a notable French designer, brought minimalist yet sophisticated designs to the forefront of interior lighting.
In Italy, designers such as Gabriella Crespi and companies like Arteluce played a crucial role in advancing lighting design, offering bold, sculptural pieces that often combined artistic expression with functional design. Together, these designers and countless others helped define 20th-century lighting as both a functional necessity and a key element of interior design aesthetics.
