Rare and unusual Aesthetic movement kneehole desk
19th Century kneehole desk of small proportions covered in Lincrusta Walton panelling. This rare and unusual desk retains its original tooled leather top.
The panelling on the desk is attributed to Dr Christopher Dresser or perhaps Louis Comfort Tiffany’s designer, Charles Osbourne.
Dr Christopher Dresser is known to have produced designs for Lincrusta Walton. Frederick Walton exhibited Lincrusta Walton for the first time at the 1878 Paris Exhibition.
